The entrance to this dive site is a sidewalk and stairs on the south side of the marine room restaurant at la jolla shores. In 1 4 miles bear left on torrey pines road. Most of the great snorkeling is off the beach at ocean depths between 5 meters and 10 meters. La jolla shores beach is south of scripps pier on the east shore of the marine reserve.

Head out in front of one of my favorite la jolla restaurants for some epic la jolla snorkeling. The marine room restaurant is part of the private la jolla beach and tennis club complex. A lesser known dive spot just to the south of la jolla shores is the marine room named after the adjacent restaurant. The best snorkeling in san diego is at la jolla cove.

Electric rays and long nose skates love hiding in the sand beyond the shallow wave break.
