I dump a jar of marbles onto a towel and have to pick one marble up at a time and drop it into the jar.

How to do the marble pick up exercise.
This three part exercise will start to get your toes and feet moving.
To strengthen the toes and feet you need to use them in ways you wouldn t normally such as picking up marbles with the toes.
Sit in a chair with both feet planted on the floor in front of you.
You will need marbles a bowl and at least one foot with toes.
Sit in a chair and place five to 20 marbles next to a cup on the floor in front of you.
Sit on a chair with both feet flat on the floor.
Dice or pencil instead of marbles.
Even after 3 weeks i struggle to do this.
Put 20 marbles and a cup in front of you.
Repeat with the other foot.
All you ll need is a chair and a few marbles pebbles or small balls.
I repeat this twice.
Using your toes grab each marble and put it in the container.
Pick up one marble at a time with your toes and place it in the bowl.
You can use any small items e g.
Spend 1 2 minutes doing this twice a day.
How to do the exercise.
Not only is it a fantastic way to improve strength and flexibility in your toes and feet but it can be done almost anywhere.
Sit in a straight backed chair with your feet flat on the floor.
Use one foot to pick up all 20 marbles.
For this you will need about 20 marbles or small balls.
Use your toes to pick up one marble at a time and place them in the cup.
Don t let the simplicity of this marble pick up exercise fool you.

This exercise helps to strengthen the metatarsal arches as well as the midsection of the arch.

This is also a great exercise to get the toes moving and increase general mobility in the feet.
